天野喜孝展「天馬」@馬の博物館(神奈川)/ JRA競馬博物館(東京)

AMANO Yoshitaka’s solo exhibition “TENMA” is being held from Saturday 21st April at the Equine Museum of Japan, and from Saturday 12th May at the JRA Racing Museum.

 

In both exhibition venues, mythical and knighted beasts depicted by Amano with equine motifs are presented; encompassing Pegasus, unicorns, centaurs and more, and commencing with some of the fantasy novel illustrations that Amano has created in large numbers up to the present.

 

Over 30 new works shall be presented, as well as works exhibited publicly for the very first time. The exhibition shall also present work featuring horses from the extremely popular “Final Fantasy” game series.

 

 

1st Venue: The Equine Museum of Japan

Saturday 21st April – Sunday 24th June

10:00 – 16:30 (last admission at 16:00)

Closed on Mondays (however, the Museum shall remain open on Monday 30th April)

Admission: regular 200 yen; high school, junior high school and elementary school students 30 yen
Venue: The Equine Museum of Japan (Exhibition Rooms 2 and 3)

2nd Venue: JRA Racing Museum

Saturday 12th May – Sunday 24th June 2018

10:00 – 17:00 (on JRA race days); 10:00 – 16:00 on other days

Admission: free (however, 200 yen admission charge is required to enter the racecourse on JRA race days)

Venue: JRA Racing Museum (Exhibition Rooms 2 and 3)
