奥田雄太展「With Gratitude」(Singapore)

Mizuma Galleryでは1月14日（金）より、奥田雄太のシンガポールでの初個展を開催いたします。
コロナ禍をきっかけに、当たり前と感じていたことが実は特別な出来事だったと気づき、「感謝を作品にしたい」という思いから「with gratitude」をテーマに作品の制作を続けている奥田雄太。
本展では、ここ数年発表を続けている「偶然性」に重きを置いた”花”の作品の新作群を展示いたします。
さまざまな色味で表現される花はポップなイメージが強いですが、花びら一つ一つに緻密な線描が施されています。彼自身、花に見えなくてもいいと語るそれは確かに具象としての花ではありません。作家が「自己をサルベージ（救出・救助）する」なかでたどり着いた、幼少期の記憶がもととなっていると語ります。
