YAMAGUCHI Akira’s group of paintings, Shitennō (Jikokuten, Zochoten, Tamonten, Komokuten), which were acquired by the museum last year, are currently on display as part of the exhibition “Anxiety and Hope in Japanese Art” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, running until the the 14th of July 2024.
