“SUKIKEI / NEW VIEW –Contemporary art in Japan at a time of transition–” will be held at two venues: Art Gallery ARTIUM (2/1~) and Fukuoka Mitsukoshi, Japan (2/26~).
Seventeen artists will participate in this exhibition. There are eight sections: Ayashi (Apparition), Mitate (Allusion), Utsuroi (Transience), Nazorae (Patterning after), Kasane (Layering), Yuragi (Fluctuation), Imayo (Style of Now), Kiso (Eccentricity). Each section has two to three artists’ works, where these works face off against each other, competing and overlapping within the same space.
IKEDA Manabu will participate in the opening reception.
