KONDOH Akino will participate in “DOMANI: The Art of Tomorrow” Exhibition 2022–23 at the National Art Center, Tokyo.
Her comic essay “Noodling in New York,” in which she describes her daily life in New York after coming to the U.S. in 2008 as a trainee with the Agency for Cultural Affairs, has now been serialized for 10 years.
The exhibition will focus on the original drawings of “Noodling in New York,” which chronicles the artist’s transformation from a tourist to an immigrant over the course of 10 years.
