“Asian Deities: Akino Fuku + Kaneko Tomiyuki” will be held at Akino Fuku Museum in Hamamatsu City starting on 17th June.
The exhibition will feature large works based on gods from Asian roots, including “The Great Dancing Tiger” and “Dawn of the Beast King” which were shown in KANEKO Tomiyuki’s exhibition “Apotropaic Tiger” (2021). In addition, “Chronicle of Kali Yuga ” which will be displayed on one of the walls of the second floor exhibition room, is a tapestry of personal traces interwoven with the artist’s daily record and thoughts, which he continues to create as part of his lifework.
