Photographer Masao Yamamoto’s solo exhibition “Kurayami – In Darkness, the Light” will be held at Ginza’s Tsutaya Bookstore art space, GINZA ART SQUARE.
In addition to gelatine silver prints crafted using an analogue process with a unique toning technique, the exhibition will also feature four glass wet plate works showcasing the “collodion process” exhibited for the first time in Tokyo.

In July this year, Kurayami, a collection of works, was published by iikki books as the second collaboration between Yamamoto and musician Uchida Akira.
Both the exhibited works and the collection will be available to purchase at the venue’s shop as well as on Bijutsu Chocho’s online art marketplace, OIL.
