Yamaguchi Akira’s artwork Portrait of OGAWA Usen is on display as part of the current exhibition, “Healing Japanese Art–Jakuchū’s Solace and Togyū’s Comfort–” at the Yamatane Museum of Art in Tokyo, running until the the 4th of February 2024.
“Today, when daily life is scrambled and the state of the world remains unstable, “Mindfulness,” “Well Being,” and “Chill” have become the current keywords, words bearing a sense of our emotional fluctuations. The context that has brought those terms to the fore is the need to consider our own interior state and find healing for our hearts.
