KONOIKE Tomoko " Hidden Mountain - Reverese "（TOKYO）

This is an excerpt from KONOIKE Tomoko’s statement for her solo exhibition “Hidden Moutain & The Lodge” that took place in the old building of Nakameguro where Mizuma Art Gallery was located. It was a peculiar exhibition where the artworks guided and stirred up the viewer’s imagination on the path from the building entrance to the highest 5th floor. The viewers like travelers toward an invisible summit, climbed toward an alternative universe.
Below follows a quotation from the new text written by the artist. Its title “Hidden Mountain – Reverse” somehow related to her past exhibition, however Konoike maintained complete secrecy on the nature of her work and its production remained undisclosed.
